Woodland Pond at Manchester
Manchester, New Hampshire
Woodland Pond at Manchester was initially part of a master planned 112 lot subdivision. In 2003, 35 lots known as phase IV of the project were sold, and an additional four lots were sold to the Nature Conservancy, leaving 73 lots in the community. Featuring ranch, first floor master, and colonial floor plans, each single family detached house and lot are individually owned, with a Homeowners’ Association to maintain the front entrance and cul de sac islands. Adjacent to a 600 acre preserve, only indigenous species and organic fertilizer are used. In 2008, as part of the Waterford Development philosophy of continual improvement in design and construction, a model home in Woodland Pond earned the first ENERGY STAR® label for the company as Woodland Pond became an ENERGY STAR® partner.
The Mews at Bedford
Bedford, New Hampshire
The Mews at Bedford was the first residential development built by Waterford Development. To create this over 55 community consisting of 108 single family detached homes, each house was built on a 5,000 sf lot to provide homeowners with privacy and a small yard yet have a condominium lifestyle. Each house was built using maintenance free construction, where front yards are maintained, driveways plowed, and walkways shoveled. Fire suppression systems were installed in each home. To balance the density of homes, over one million dollars was spent on landscaping the front entrance, the front yards, common areas, and cul de sac islands. Common area amenities include a walking trail and gazebo. Construction on this project commenced in 1998 and ended with the sale of our final unit in January of 2003.
Birchside Common at Bedford
Bedford, New Hampshire
Birchside Common at Bedford was an abandoned project taken over with only a road in place. Designed as a unique community consisting of 14 luxury homes nestled around a village green, each house was built using maintenance free construction. Exceptional care was taken to maintain the natural beauty of the 18 acre preserve, including the use of a tree spade to transplant trees that normally would have been sacrificed during construction. Even though the original owner left a lengthy punch list with the Town of Bedford, Waterford Development successfully completed all of the requests from the Town and received the first acceptance of a public road during 2005. Construction on this project commenced in 2002 and ended with the sale of our final unit in 2005.
